Close your eyes for a moment and imagine yourself on a shopping spree. It’s just you and more clothes than you can possibly imagine (or afford). You carefully take in every item, you feel the fabrics, you consider the fits, and you select your favorite pieces. You are excited and you cannot wait for everyone to see the results of your shopping extravaganza! Now imagine what it feels like to know that your wonderful purchases will not arrive for 6-8 months! Well, that’s how it feels to buy stock for the coming season!

My personal lack of patience aside, it’s an enjoyable experience. When I look through the collections, I think about fashion, where it’s going, and where it has been. I think about my own personal style, and the style of all the fabulous women I know. I try to channel famous icons of style, and as always, I consider what would be comfortable to wear!

With so many fabulous items to Look Forward To, it’s hard not to obsess about what is on the way. So, what is on the way you ask? Well, let me tell you about my favorites! There are prints, and there are florals from BB Dakota. Poppy reds and royal blues mingle with soft neutrals at Peel. Dresses are still going strong and there is an amazing little pin-stripped jacket from Eve Gravel that I can’t wait to wear. I am anxiously awaiting Joe’s slightly distressed skinny jeans to pair with a ruffled tank and more of my favorite James Perse T’s.. A good friend of mine would call these items my LFT’s (Look Forward To’s). Now I hope that they are yours too!
